Staffing Specialist

Dana Point, California

Job Description

  • Works collaboratively with caregivers and clients, and assists with the scheduling and coordination of caregivers and placement with families

  • Liaises with clients, staff, and community partners

  • Acts as a problem solver for clients and responds to inquiries from caregivers

  • Reports client and staff concerns to Staffing Manager

  • Liaises with the Care Coordinators regarding client care. Collects and enters all pertinent client and caregiver data into the computer system

  • Provides list, schedules, and performs other administrative duties to support ongoing recruitment and hiring of new caregiver staff

Requirements

  • Experience working in an office setting

  • Ability to handle a high volume of calls while delivering exceptional customer service (healthcare industry experience an asset)

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills (Additional language skills considered an asset)

  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills

  • Proficient in Word, Outlook, and ability to learn propriety software

  • Medical terminology knowledge an asset but not required

Our Perfect Candidate Requirements

  • CNA license 

  • Valid Driver’s license

  • Knowledge of home management skills

  • Have reliable transportation

  • Have a High School Diploma

  • Genuine Desire to help seniors

  • Documents needed:

    • Level 2 Background Check

    • Social Security Card

    • Authorization to work in the US (if applicable)

    • Valid driver's license and car insurance

    • TB test ( PPD or chest X-Ray) results

    • Evidence of CPR

  • A professional and friendly attitude

  • A willingness to work flexible hours, which may include night shifts

RESULTS

  • CNA certification

  • Complete and document all assigned tasks for each client

  • Report any abnormal signs from clients

  • Report abuse

  • Attend all staff meeting

  • Provide care in a nurturing and respectful manner.

  • Ability to keep CPR and First Aid Certification current.

  • Ability to report and record any and all incidents promptly.

  • Have good attendance

  • Keep Clients’ safe
